I wanted to add some extra edge for The Met Gala, so I slashed some cheekbone grazing layers into the front of Kate's hair with a razor and backcombed her hair at the crown for some lift at the roots—the ultimate cool girl.

GET THE LOOK

PRODUCTS YOU NEED: Cool Girl SuperLift Volumising Spray, Easy Up Do Texture Spray, Kate's Cosmoss Sacred Mist.

Step 1
Spritz Cool Girl SuperLift Volumising Spray into the roots of your crown of freshly washed hair.

Step 2
Blow dry by lifting hair from the roots and twisting the lengths, flipping it from side to side to give it some root lift and pump up the texture. To accentuate cheekbones, blow dry the layers around your face flat, across the forehead in one direction and then the other. 

Step 3
Tip your head upside down and blast my Easy Up Do Texture Spray into your roots, flip it back and then backcomb lightly at the crown to finish.

Finish with a spritz of Kate's Cosmoss Sacred Mist and you are ready to go.

PRODUCTS YOU NEED: Save The Do Style Starter, Modern Hairspray, Cool Girl Texture Mist, Happy Endings Nourishing Balm.

Step 1
Spritz heat-protecting Save The Do Style Starter lightly at the top front section of hair, then blow dry down over the forehead.

Step 2
Mist Modern Hairspray onto each section of hair and then wrap around a large curling tong. It’s a ‘kiss of a tong’, just a quick second or two is all you need. On Kate, I used a mix of 25mm and 32mm sized curling tongs, on medium heat.

Step 3
At the front wave the hair away from the face to accentuate those cheekbones. 

Step 4
Tip your head upside down, mist Cool Girl Texture Mist into the roots and through the lengths.

Step 5
And last but absolutely not least, a pump of Happy Endings Nourishing Balm to define, defrizz and defluff.
