HOW TO KEEP YOUR SCALP MICROBIOME HEALTHY

WASH WITH THE RIGHT SHAMPOOS

DON’T OVER WASH
Washing your hair more than once a day or using a shampoo formula that contains ingredients that can remove an inordinate amount of your natural scalp oils may lead to over-stripping and will inhibiting the growth of certain microorganisms and enabling others to flourish.
AVOID PRODUCT BUILD UP
If you go days between shampoos whilst using excessive amount of dry shampoo or styling products on the scalp —it’s important that you deep clean your scalp. Product build-up on the scalp can clog hair follicles, trap scalp oils, cause irritation, and disrupt the microbiome.
GET A HEALTHY AMOUNT OF VITAMIN D
In the short winter days, lack of sun exposure can cause vitamin D deficiency, which can trigger a host of health problems including poor scalp health. So, make sure to get out in the sun a minimum of 15 minutes per day helps support healthy vitamin D3 levels.
